Diamond Braces Team Participates in Central Park Breast Cancer Walk!
Even when they’re not working, Diamond Braces employees are always looking for ways to give back to their community. This Sunday, a team comprised of several offices defied the rainy weather and headed to Central Park to support the fight against breast cancer! The 5k walk/run was a fundraiser for breast cancer research. The Diamond Braces team included staff from Diamond Braces in Manhattan, Diamond Braces Clifton, and Diamond Braces White Plains. The walkers even made custom t-shirts and Varsity jackets showing off their Diamond Braces pride, in the signature pink of breast cancer awareness, of course! Judging by their enthusiastic smiles, it looks like they had a great time. Way to go, ladies!
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, so people across the country are taking to the streets (and parks) to help raise money and public interest in this terrible disease. Breast Cancer affects over 300,000 people a year in the United States, mostly women. And while screening and effective treatment have reduced deaths from breast cancer, it still kills 40,000 women every year. The fundraising and awareness stemming from breast cancer walks/runs helps engage the public in fighting this disease, and offers an amazing way for people to give back to their communities.
Since the Diamond Braces team always goes the extra mile for our patients, it’s no surprise that these Diamond Braces ladies went the extra mile for breast cancer survivors, or rather, three miles!
Congratulations to the 5k participants, and thank you so much for bringing your commitment and enthusiasm to the Braces Diamond team.
